About Us

Stefan Keller works as a journalist and author. He is a regular contributor to the «Schweizerische Weinzeitung» and Ringier Publishing. His areas of expertise include portraits and reports commissioned by companies. He organizes and hosts events of all kinds. 


Stefan Keller is also a wine producer in Valtellina, Lombardy, and produces exceptional Swiss distillates with schnaps.ch. He is a founding and honorary member of the «Mémoire des Vins Suisses» association and an honorary member of the «Sommelier Verband Schweiz.»


Stefan Keller lives and works in Switzerland and Vienna.

Das Pöstli – Bar & Osteria

The Bar & Osteria is open from 1 July to 31 October 2026, Thursday to Sunday. Regular opening hours are Thursday to Saturday from 4 pm to 10 pm, Sunday from 12 noon to 6 pm. Das Pöstli – Garni


The rooms are available daily from 1 July to 31 October 2026. There are four double rooms available, one of which has an extra bed, as well as a small single room. Prices range from CHF 60 to CHF 160 per room per night, including Italian breakfast (cappuccino or tea and brioche) at Bar Rossi on the other side of the bridge. Guests receive an access code for the house and rooms. Parking spaces for cars and bicycles are available. For information on availability, please visit: https://daspoestli.ch.


Eating out in the neighborhood


Just a five-minute walk away, on the Italian side, is Altavilla, Vito's pizzeria-restaurant, open for lunch and dinner (except Mondays). A leisurely half-hour stroll along the Maira River (now called the Mera on the Italian side) leads to Lanterna Verde, the only Michelin-starred restaurant in the province of Sondrio. The food and wine from the Tonola family's kitchen and cellar are an absolute delight. Open for lunch and dinner, except Tuesdays and Wednesdays; closed only on Wednesdays in August.

The town of Chiavenna can be reached in 20 minutes by car. There are hourly postal bus connections until 10 pm. A wide variety of restaurants and cafes are available there.


Shopping


La Butega in the village center offers everything for daily shopping. The shop is run by villagers on a rotating basis. Opening hours: Monday to Saturday mornings.


Public transportation


The Swiss Post bus stop Vecchia Dogana is right outside. Departures towards St. Moritz start at 5:23 a.m., then approximately hourly until 10:18 p.m.; towards Chiavenna start at 7:33 a.m., then hourly until 10:26 p.m. There is a daily direct connection from Castasegna to Lugano at 11:00 a.m.
